John, this is truly beautiful and will become my creed, in so far as I can follow it. I want to live like that, love like that, respond like that. I want to find that horn-honking lady and love her out of her anger and impatience. I want to hold Carly and tell her to never mind people who show such rudeness, that they are to be forgiven and forgotten. I want to share this kind of love with my family, teach them and my friends what love means and how love works. I want to feel love always, in all situations, in all that happens in my life. I know that won't happen, I'll fail miserably at times, but I want to love myself for failing, knowing I didn't want to do it that way. If I can do all these things, then maybe I'll have learned what Christ preached and what God has made available to all of us, and I'll have learned the true value of this love. Maybe I will then become love itself, and will truly be Jesus Christ in John Boring. Thank you so much, brother, for the thoughts that led you to post this, and for the kind of heart that would know how to write such a message.

This new creed of love is perfect and true. What a deep and wondrous healing takes place at the "fusing" of God with ourselves; for ourselves are still here. I'm still who I always was only now I'm a creature of love instead of merely mortal. Love is so much bigger than feelings of affection, so much more than "right" thinking, so much more than duty. It is the transcendent part of us. The nature of God truly coursing through our veins bringing forth magnificant new life - real life, the way it always should have been. Thank you for this. And God Bless Carly Lynch, one of His beautiful ones. (I admit to wanting to search out and hunt down the Honking Lady, myself!)
